Over the past two decades, ubiquitous computing and ambient intelligence have advanced significantly, yet their real-world impact has remained limited by challenges in deployment, adoption, and scale. This keynote will explore how recent advances in artificial intelligence, sensing, and human-centred design are enabling a shift from reactive, technology-driven systems toward proactive, integrated supports for ageing populations.
